GnuCash Accounting Package Installation for Your Business


In this blog, first of all I think to give you a valuable accounting software for your business. It is called GnuCash. I will give instructions to install GnuCash in an Ubuntu 18.04 operating system. But if you have Windows or Mac OS you can go to GnuCash website – www.gnucash.org and download and install the software. GnuCash is an open source double entry bookkeeping accounts package which is very useful for small business owners and startup companies. It is a free software. Therefore startups and small businesses can use this without paying. GnuCash has following features.

Important : you need to have a working internet connection for install GnuCash

Steps:

Open the terminal and type sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sicklylife/gnucash


After following dialog box appears press ENTER

Then type sudo apt-get install gnucash or sudo apt install gnucash


After following message appears press Y and wait. It will take sometime. Time depends on your internet connection speed and machine speed.

After installation, open GnuCash. Starting window is looks like this.
